We recently had the opportunity to take in a terrific keynote “speaker” at the Georgia Association of REALTORS® Inaugural Conference in Columbus. The presentation consisted not only of a leader in the form of a conductor but also an entire orchestra! The catch here was that the orchestra had been formed just that morning and had just met the conductor. We were treated to a wonderful learning experience that included lessons in the subtleties of communication and observation. The orchestra relies on not only the skills of the participants but also on the leadership skills of the individual group leaders and also the conductor. By communicating clearly, thoroughly and confidently the orchestra was able to produce the best results.
An orchestra relies on a conductor and individual section leaders to communicate and coordinate. In the pursuit of ideal results in real estate your agent relies on many of the same skills. It Is important that your representative is well versed in contracts, negotiations and the local landscape. Equally important is how they are supported by their networks and the team of professionals.
Just how many folks are involved in a real estate transaction? A buyer, a seller, an inspector, attorneys, a lender and their underwriters and processors. Perhaps an HVAC technician, environmental experts, contractors. On the brokerage side we work with a marketing team, an extensive international network and collaborate with the buyer or sellers representation. Maybe a home warranty is involved, perhaps some tree work needs to be done. Homes to be cleaned, estate sales to be conducted, you name it.
By the time a transaction is completed no doubt dozens have contributed to the process. While this may seem excessive this process has been refined over time to produce reliable results for homeowners.
